At school Tom's class had this badge called a "Star Pupil Badge",Tom's teacher (Mr Fullerman) give it to one person every term.This term Marcus (the boy that Tom doesn't like at all) got the badge and Tom was very jealous that he got it just for handing his homework in to Mr Fullerman in time.So then Tom set a goal for himself, and that was to get the star pupil badge next term by listening to the teacher, focus on his work and always hand his homework in to the teacher in time.
I liked how Tom really tried hard to get the badge.
I would recommend it because this book has lots of jokes.
